About our Company

Whitelion is a national non-profit organisation helping young people break the cycle of disadvantage and achieve positive change in their lives. In Western Australia, Whitelion (Balga Detached Youth Work Project) provides outreach services, support and employment training programs to youth at-risk primarily across the Perth Northern suburbs.

About the Role

In this role, you will work within Whitelion’s Mobile Youth Service and be directly responsible for case management and program support of predominantly ATSI young people. These young people are generally referred via WA Police, Youth Justice or the Department of Child Protection.

Standard Police Clearance and Working with Children Checks also apply.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • One-to-one case management supporting predominantly ATSI young people to achieve their goals
  • Developing case plans, maintaining client records and delivering meaningful support
  • Support the engagement of the targeted youth within co-ordinated life skills, recreation and alternative learning activities.
  • Ensure that services delivered are autonomous, effective, efficient and client focused
  • Work effectively in partnership and collaboration with local community groups, specifically the Aboriginal community.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
