The 10th Annual AFL Finals Series Luncheon was 'kicked off' in grand style at the MCC Dining Room on 9th September with over $25,000 being raised to support youth at risk. Hosted by media personality David King along with an esteemed panel in Drew Petrie (Kangaroos vice-captain), Matthew Lloyd (former Essendon captain & premiership player), Kevin Sheehan (AFL Talent Manager), Jackie Epstein (Herald-Sun Sports Reporter), Matt Finnis (AFLPA CEO) and Eugene Arocca (Kanagroos CEO). Much was debated including the current state of the play, Brendon Fevola's recent trials & tribulations along with our theme of 'footy into the future'.

web_DSC05119.JPGWhitelion co-founder and former Carlton premiership player Glenn Manton took questions from the floor with over 410 guests enjoying a great day's entertainment. Comedian Damian Callinan set the scene with his performance of Troy Carrington a former fringe AFL player who has made his mark in the country as footy coach; organic winemaker and alpaca farmer!

Guests also heard about the benefits of the Whitelion employment program from employer Paul Kruspe (Australian Taxation Office) and young employee Ahmed Mohamed (Whitelion). The program fosters social inclusion through active employment opportunities with a strong focus on creating independence.

Thanks to Metlink, Bovis Lend Lease, SEN, Spotless, Audio Visual Dynamics, AFL and all the generous companies that donated their goods, time or services.
