Roberts Real Estate announces two year partnership with Whitelion.
 Roberts Real Estate is the largest estate agency in Tasmania and, indeed, one of the largest in Australia. Whilst many of its competitors are part of national groupings, and nationally boast larger number of offices, they are invariably either franchise or marketing groups, and are simply a combination of smaller individual real estate businesses which affiliate for marketing purposes.
The company also currently manages over 2,600 properties statewide, and is the largest provider of property management services in the State.
Roberts Real Estate announced a two year partnership with Whitelion in June 2010. Roberts Real Estate have committed financial support, in-kind support and employee involvement with Whitelion programs across the state.

Sam Cawthorn, Tasmanian 2009 Young Australian Of The Year, has joined Whitelion as an Ambassador in Tasmania. Sam is excited to be representing Whitelion and assisting to promote our work with vulnerable young people in the State.

Whitelion Tasmania's Programs
Whitelion Tasmania was established in 2002, and is located in Launceston, Devonport and Bridgewater.
Mentoring Program - Launceston and North West Coast
The program provides connections to positive adults through individual and group activities. Mentor matches enable young people to feel more connected to their community resulting in better opportunities and more positive attitudes from others.
Whitelion are currently recruiting volunteers in both regions for 2010. Why become a Whitelion Volunteer? Because there is an option for everyone.
- Attend a community activity day - providing young people with the opportunity to engage with positive members of the community through fun group activities
- participate in a volunteer exchange program
- become a mentor
- join the Ashley Visitation Program - to visit the detention centre on a weekly basis, providing the young people with a positive connection to their community.

Employment Program - Launceston, North West Coast and Hobart
This program supports young women and men in real jobs for real wages. Both the employers and the young people involved in the program receive high level ongoing support from Whitelion employment program staff.
