Breakthrough Youth Worker - Western Metro

Providing support to young people at risk in Melbourne’s western region, this role is based at Whitelion’s office in Hoppers Crossing. Working directly with young people, as well as recruiting and supporting volunteers, this role will help those impacted by COVID-19.

You will use case management, outreach, coaching and motivational interviewing to help young people at risk to identify and achieve goals around education, training, and employment. You will also support young people to engage with volunteers who will mentor them, helping them to form positive social connections, confidence, and skills to pursue vocational and employment pathways.

Whitelion is passionate about creating a workplace that promotes and values diversity. Our vision is for a world where no young person is left behind, where all young people have the right to equitable opportunities to reach their potential. We exist to build positive connections and pathways to work for young people at risk. Success depends on the voice and lived experience of highly vulnerable, high risk young people, systems around them and the Whitelion community.
