Casual Mentor - South Australia

Are you a passionate individual who enjoys the challenge of working and contributing to a non-profit organisation supporting young people at risk? The new role of Mentor in our Mentoring Support Program might be for you!

Whitelion is looking for casual Mentors to join our Mentoring Support Program. Based at our Kilburn office, we are looking for people with a desire to work with young people who have experiences with the out-of-home care, justice, and NDI systems.

Preferred applicants will understand the relevant service and child safe requirements to work in this role. Experience in working within Mentoring Programs and/or with young people, and within inter-agency partnerships is highly desirable.

We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

Whitelion is passionate about creating a workplace that promotes and values diversity. Our vision is for a world where no young person is left behind, where all young people have the right to equitable opportunities to reach their potential. We exist to build positive connections and pathways to work for young people at risk. Success depends on the voice and lived experience of highly vulnerable, high risk young people, systems around them and the Whitelion community.

To be considered for this position, applicants will need to provide a resume and cover letter addressing why you are interested in working at Whitelion, what you will bring to the organisation and the skills and attributes relevant to the role.
