Youth Employment Support Coordinator

  • Servicing Blacktown, St Mary's and Mount Druitt
  • Full time contract until 30 June, 2022.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Youth Employment Support Coordinator, you will:

  • Ensure effective delivery of the Youth Employment Social Impact Program (YESIP) in line with contractual requirements and organisational outcomes.
  • Engage and assess young people into the YESIP program, supporting them to address barriers to employment via a case work support model.
  • Support young people aged 16 to 24 years who are experiencing multiple and complex barriers to employment.
  • Develop and maintain key referral pathways with job services and other youth focused agencies.
  • Supervise our Employer Engagement Worker.

YOU WILL HAVE

  • Demonstrated experience delivering outcome-based services that have consistently achieved contract performance targets.
  • Experience in working with young people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering group training workshops including: literacy, numeracy, communication, computer literacy and other employability skills.
  • Ability to work individually with vulnerable young people to develop realistic and achievable individual employment plans.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and innovatively within a team.
  • Strong administrative skills, record keeping skills, computer literacy skills and experience with database management systems.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and at other sites when required.
